PETS is required for all Rotary club presidents elect from Rotary Districts 5240, 5280, 5300, 5320, 5330, 5340, and 5500. Rotaract presidents elect are strongly encouraged to attend. PETS is also open to members of each District’s Governor line, district staff, and others (invited by the District Governor Elect). Club presidents elect from districts outside the Southwest PETS group are also able to attend Southwest PETS if they are not able to attend PETS in their area.
Yes. We appreciate our “encore presidents” who will be serving again. The content and format of PETS changes each year so even if you have been a club president before, you still need to attend this year’s PETS.
We are excited about the opportunities our virtual environment will provide for our presidents elect! We are using the VFairs platform for the entire event, including access to all the live training sessions, vendors, and networking opportunities with your PE colleagues. The sessions will be conducted using Zoom and will consist of keynote speakers, education sessions, and breakout room discussions. The sessions will be organized around the four pillars of Rotary’s Action Plan: Increase our impact; Expand our reach; Enhance participant engagement; and Increase our ability to adapt. After you log in, you will find yourself in the event Lobby (our virtual version of the LAX Marriott where PETS is normally held in person). You will see signs for four main areas for you to explore – click on any of the signs to enter that area:

Auditorium: This is where you will access all the training sessions. When you enter the Auditorium, click on the large screen to access the detailed agenda and links to all the sessions.

Exhibit Hall: Visit our wonderful vendors in the Exhibit Hall where you can purchase Rotary swag and learn about Rotary projects and partners. You will have the ability to live chat and/or arrange video calls with our vendors.

Lounge: The Lounge is your portal to connect with other PETS attendees through group or one-on-one chats. Join an existing discussion thread or start your own.

Info Desk: If you need help with VFairs, Zoom, or anything PETS related, visit the Info Desk to connect with event and VFairs staff.
You can win prizes! Once the site is “live” starting at 8:00 am PST on Friday, March 5, 2021, take some time to explore the different features and areas. When you click on certain areas of the site or participate in different activities – such as visiting vendors – you will earn points. The ten attendees with the most points will earn cool prizes. Check the leaderboard for the standings and prizes!
